About Us
We build negotiation tools for the professionals most advice skips.
Not a celebrity founder story. A small, research-driven team building a strategy guide, a compensation calculator, and word-for-word scripts, for people outside of Big Tech.
Who we are
A small, research-driven team, not a celebrity founder story.
We build practical, no-fluff negotiation tools for professionals outside of Big Tech: a complete strategy guide, a compensation calculator, and word-for-word scripts, grounded in research rather than recycled advice.
The Raise Plan is written and maintained by that same team, not a single guru with a personal brand, and not a venture-backed app. We’re the people who wrote the guide, built the calculator, and tested the scripts against real offer scenarios before publishing them.
One of us spent over 20 years in corporate management, starting in 2003 and working up to General Manager across multiple companies. Two decades on the other side of the table, setting compensation budgets, approving raises, and watching which counteroffers actually worked and which didn’t. That’s the vantage point this kit is built from.
We won’t put invented bios or stock-photo headshots on this page to make the team look bigger than it is. What we can stand behind is the work itself: every framework in the kit traces back to a specific chapter, every number in the calculator is checked by hand, and every email variation is tested against the scenario it’s meant to solve.
Why we built this
Most negotiation advice assumes you work in Big Tech. Most of the workforce doesn’t.
Most salary negotiation content out there is written for people with RSUs, refreshers, and a FAANG-style offer letter. That describes a small slice of the workforce. The Raise Plan is built for everyone else: professionals with a base salary, a bonus target, and a straightforward offer letter, who still deserve a real strategy instead of a generic template built for someone else’s compensation structure.
We also built it as a direct answer to the two alternatives people default to. A free AI chatbot has no memory of your industry’s pay bands and no way of knowing your walk-away number; it gives you a generic paragraph in seconds, not a strategy. A negotiation coach can give you that strategy, but they’re priced for ongoing engagement, not a single negotiation. The Raise Plan sits between the two: more thorough and specific than a chatbot answer, and a fraction of the cost of a coach, delivered once, in full, for a flat price.
